Dear Friends,
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
Here is an update on the many happenings at the Halifax Congregational Church during this holiday season.
*The Halifax Congregational Church will be having a Christmas Bazaar and Luncheon on Saturday, Nov 30, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
We will be hosting several crafters that you can purchase hand-made items from to give as holiday gifts or simply enjoy for yourself. Some of the craft items being offered include handmade soaps, handmade crafts, hand painted pictures and other art work, handmade wreaths, handcrafted jewelry, beautiful decorated lighted bottles, homemade jam and jelly and much, much more. There will be a Missions table with items handmade/donated by church members with the proceeds going to help those in need.
We will also be having a White Elephant Room and wonderful raffles for you to win. Best of all, you don’t want to miss out on our delicious homemade baked items and our popular cookie walk which offers a large assortment of fresh baked cookies to choose from.
We will be serving our Christmas luncheon starting at 11:00 am which will include various sandwiches and soup, along with other selections. Please be sure to bring your hearty appetite.
Please come and join us for a fun day of holiday shopping, delicious baked goods and a wonderful luncheon. Don’t forget to bring your holiday gift list.
*FRIENDLY CIRCLE will be meeting on Tuesday, December 10, at 12:00 noon at the Somewhere Else Tavern in Bryantville. All are welcome. Contact Janice Campbell for further details.
*HOLIDAYS IN HALIFAX - Saturday, December 14. Our Handbell Choir will be presenting two mini-concerts at 6:00PM and 7:00PM.
There will be also be a Gingerbread House Display of town buildings that will be part of a silent auction proceeds of which will go to "Home Base", a service organization for veterans and their families. If you you would like to help construct the gingerbread houses contact Jance Campbell.
*CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE -Tuesday, December 24 @ 4:00 PM. Come join us for this traditional family service as we assemble the manger scene and sing carols.
