CONSTANT CONTACT NEWSLETTER (SEPTEMBER 2024)
September 3, 2024
Dear Friends
I hope you all had a nice summer with relaxing and fun activities. It’s hard to believe it’s September already and lots going on at our church:
Sunday School (Kid’s Church) - Unfortunately Sue Vogt and Dianne Ruxton have resigned as co-superintendents of our Sunday School. We thank them for their devotion and hard work and wish them well. Unfortunately our Sunday school has met the same fate that many others have met in our area. If you know of any young families that would like to help revive the first established Sunday School in America, please contact Pastor Bill.
Choir - The choir will resume this month, date tba. If you are interested in joining please contact Bob Kniffen (rkniffen@umich.edu)
Flea Market - September 14 (10-3). Our annual Flea Market will be held as part of the Halifax Farmer’s Market. Also our world famous clam chowder will also be on sale! If you would like to reserve a table call Sue Mahan (781-293-0422)
Blessing of the Pets Service - On September 15 @10AM we will have our annual “Blessing of the Pets” service. This will be held outdoors in the parking lot so please bring your own chair.
Quilt Display - As part of the Halifax Farmer’s Market on September 28 (10:00AM - 3PM) there will a quilt display in the church sanctuary. If you have a quilt(s) you would like to display please contact Sally Baker (nonnabaker@gmail.com). The plan is to have them set up for the 28th and left up for our service on the 29th.
Church Dinner - There will be a roast pork dinner on Saturday, October 5 @5PM. More details to follow.
If you ever have something you would like included in our Constant Contact emails or website please let me know (rkniffen@umich.edu)
Also if you know of someone that you think would like to receive these Constant Contact emails let me know and I will add them to our list.
Thank you and God bless you all
